Well, I made a new discovery today of an apparently old thing: Amazon now has a way for you to publish serial novels and allow readers to purchase subscriptions!
This is actually pretty darn cool, as some of my story ideas lend themselves more to a serial novel format than a single long-form novella or novel. I have a number of outlines lying around I've been wondering what to do with, now they have a Purpose In Life(tm).
I also see Red Room has a way to sell eBooks, I suppose I should throw some ash on the old credit card and get a premium membership if I'm e ven going to pretend to be serious.
I've been going back and reading my old collection of Mike Hammer stories aswell. I just have a thing for hard-boiled detective stories! I need t get some Raymond Chandler as well, I suppose, for completenesses sake.
I'm finishing up reading 'The Writres Self-Editing Toolbox', so far lots of very useful ideas that have actually helped me with some old stuff I have laying around in limbo. Quick, save that manuscript!
I need to install Scrivener on my primary machine since I only have space for one laptop at my temporary residence.. sigh. The Tablet PC is at the office as is my Asus writing machine, but the raw text of all my works is floating out on my Google Drive, where it's safe.
More later - have a great day!
