A comment likely lost on anyone outside the "Hawaii 5-0" Era.
It's Payday, and with Payday comes the joy, excitement, and frustration of choosing 2 new eBooks from my Amazon wishlist. It's not a huge list, the problem is that I think for every 2 books I buy, I add 3-4 more, so it slowly grows, and grows, AND GROWS!
Thankfully they all fit neatly into my laptop and tablet PC, so there's not the issue I used to have of needing to sell/give away a few books to make room for the new ones (always a sad occasion).
Todays purchases were for pleasure and research. First, "Spirits of New Orleans: Voodoo Curses, Vampire Legends and Cities of the Dead (America's Haunted Road Trip)" by Kala Ambrose. I've always been interested in haunted places, and New Orleans is within an easy Greyhound bus ride, so this is both research for my alternate New Orleans series and to prep me for a visit to the Big Easy. It looked too interesting to pass up! Then "Shanghai Steam" by Calvin D. Jim, almost purely because I like reading good stampunk, but also to see what others are doing as go into pre-production on 'Argentum Noctis'.
This will give me plenty to read until next Payday, when once again I'll go through the painful process of deciding which of a dozen or so books I can choose. I need a better paying job and more reading time!
