I've noticed that the music I play when I write has an impact on what I'm doing.
Beause I'm plotting a dark occult psychological fantasy (I know no genre lol) I've had Beethoven, Tapping The Vein, and Suzanne Vewga on. Suzanne Vega seems like the best soundtrack to write a story about someone who thinks they're going insane.. or are they?
It's like when I do my 3D art, the background music isn't, really, it's the underlying tapestry that lets me weave the story. It lets the emotion come out, while my reason is the bone the music helps the blood that makes it live, flow.
I could never write Threshold to metal or rock, but I can to ambient, celtic, and Suszanne Vega and Lisa Loeb.
Never think the ocean of sense you swim in doesn't change how you write. Make your nest the best place to write what you are, music, sight, all senses. Because writing will consume it all and change the words that come out.
To all of you, good writing! Everything you are will become everything you write!
