"Timely Tips," (Not) By Heloise...

For all Faithful Readers in this New Year, a tip: Magic-Marker "2013" on the back of your writing hand. It will fade out about the time you no longer need it.

(grin) G'wan-- just TRY to tell me this isn't the most helpful tip you've received all year, so far. It's already saved me from wasting three monthly-bill checks...

-- Earl Merkel

(POSTSCRIPT: Okay, I admit it: arguably, the SECOND most helpful tip so far this year... if, say, at 12:01 a.m. last Tuesday, a friend (also) cried out to you "Hey! Don't step in THAT!" --EM)

Earl,    It is a great tip.

Earl,

It is a great tip.  I have always heard that the definition of a new year ends when people automatically write the year without thinking about it (or having to correct it).  For me, it has always been easy, that as a pharmacist, I have to think ahead on dates (expiration dates of medications, how long a prescription will last, when controlled substance prescriptions expire/or are good until...they have a 6-month limitation, but I digress), but perhaps I need to get out the Magic Marker regardless.  ~nan
