The Toltec philosophy is a fascinating esoteric tradition, or what we fondly call a Warriors path to personal freedom. Nope, we’re not at war with anyone outside of ourselves, but instead with the domesticated programming of our rational mind. It is a path that encourages us to let go of our preconceived ideas, limiting beliefs and rigid concepts to allow us to be free to express our Spirit fully in our lives with an open heart. <!--break-->
The Toltec teachings are part of an oral esoteric tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation of Warriors over thousands of years, possibly even longer if certain mythologies are truth. Shrouded in mystery, this path to personal freedom remained hidden from the public eye until 1968 when the first book about the Toltec wisdom was published by Carlos Castaneda. Since then, the popularity of this Warriors path has been on the rise, mostly due to the popularity of other Toltec teachers including don Miguel Ruiz. His book, The Four Agreements (published in 1997), made it to the New York Times Bestseller list and has remained on the list for over 5 years, selling 4 million copies. <!--break-->
It is my intent to give you a clear understanding of the basic tenets of this philosophy and the three masteries that form its backbone. There has been a lot of confusion and mystification of these teachings, but I think that by the end of this book you will come to see how practical and down to earth this path really is. Indeed what attracts folks to this wisdom is its no-nonsense way of looking at personal growth and spiritual development. I hope that after you have read this book, you will have discovered something extraordinary about the most mysterious being in the world, yourself! So let the journey into the magic and mythology of the Toltec Warriors begin...
