We have some great Redroom authors. Their blogs are amazing. Loren Rhoads wrote a wonderful post reminding us of the late Ray Bradbury who passed just days ago. In the Zen and the Art of Writing, Loren recalls this memorable line:
“We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out.”
I'm having my morning coffee and thinking to myself, "Self, it's Friday. You've been doing a lot of tipping this week. Why not just lay back and do a little sipping this weekend instead, beginning with the next sip of rich coffee?"
I believe I will.
"There's a time for everything," said the Preacher in Ecclesiastes. "A time to 'let the beautiful stuff out' and a time to let the beautiful stuff in."
Isn't the real trick in knowing what time it is?
For once, I might have this right. I'll have another cup, please.
