This blog will explore a couple of things. History of the United States and the writing style of sarcasm. Usually I incorporate the latter for my dramatic effect and it is a legitimate tool in the creative writing process for those of us that have at least that much English Education. Now lets get on with it. No one ever said that living in America was simple. Our diverse history from many perspectives and viewpoints gives America it's unique flavor and advantage. It simply happens to be the place that we live. As citizens we have certain inalienable rights such as free speech, freedom of the press, the right to the pursuit of happiness, the right to life, liberty, and justice to name a few. No one grouping of persons can be held responsible for the entire history of the United States. It is a collective, continual, consistent effort of every citizen that lives here and those that live abroad. There have been many incidences of injustices that could have discouraged one or more racial and ethnic groups to leave the US for good, instead they stayed planted their feet firmly atop the principles that this country was originally founded upon and made a difference. It is as simple as that. No one person or one seating of persons will ever control the destiny or fate of an entire nation of people unless they allow it. The crafting of America is unique in that there is no absolute power and that there is a hierarchy that was designed to create fairness and equity. There are rules and principles set in place however that have not been explored in depth by the very citizens they were created to enhance and protect and this has led to disparages in the process of liberty for some. Who is at fault for this? I was told that it is imperative to study the structure of the country that you live in to gain a more insightful awareness of the laws of the land. This should lead to a better understanding of how things work and keep society civilized. As a student we were given the Constitution test, not simply to see how much information we could memorize, but to give the guidelines for life in America. To give in essence a sneak peak of all the fringe benefits of being a citizen here. It was to acclimate us to the privileges inherent from birth or the naturalization process. There have been many persons that lost their lives in this fight, their livelihoods, their sense of well being, pride, you name it, all for the sake of making it better for future the generations to come. Patriotism should therefore be in the minds of all that live in their respective countries, although you may or may not agree on how things are handled there is a process and there will be a final outcome and the citizens possess the power to move a country in any desired direction.
Finally, If you really want to know how and why I admonish you to search relevant documents listen to various political and legal talk shows and find out what you need to know to make your experience as a citizen a better one.
