In 1982 my first wife passed away after a three battle with leukemia. I was working a temporary job because the unemployment rate was over 18%. I had three children, two sons and a daughter. In August of 1982 I called a missionary that was home for four weeks. I just needed a woman to talk to. During that conversation I realized that I was going to marry her. She returned to Japan on Friday August 20, 1982. I worte to her and sent her a cassette tape. On that tape I proposed to her. I let her know that I wanted her as my wife and to be the mother of my three children. She agreed to both conditions. The Lord allowed her to come home early. I took my kids to the airport on December 18 to meet Miss Knoll who wanted to be their new mother. It was definitely the mosty exciting day for my kids and me. She was our "Carol" of Christmas. We still celebrate Airport Day in our family. An incredible Christmas gift.
