Being a born Christian what tortures me most is my religion. I can't just understand the relevance of multiple religions in this world. If the ultimate aim of the religion is to establish the relation between man and God, why should there be hundreds of religions in this world? Why should there be mediators between God and man, viz., saints and prophets, to whom we pray and solicite for their help? What is heaven? What does the Creator expect from us, work or worship? Can God descend to this insignificant planet, live like a man, bear all tortures and have an ignominous death to save the humanity? What is the lot of other creatures? Do they have heaven and hell like us? How silly and insignificant is the Earth and Man when compared to the unlimited Universe? Aren't religions exploiting this ignorance of man with regard to the metaphysical things? Are the religious leaders as exemplary and repesentative like Christ?
These are the questions which haunt me and taunt me to poetry.
