Devin Leung is the son of Chinese immigrants who settled in Brooklyn, New York in the late 70s in pursuit of happiness, individual liberties, and an overall better quality of life in the United States. His father’s love for democracy inspired his sense of duty to serve the country thus enlisting in the Marine Corps after high school in 2001. He served for 5 years as a combat engineer deploying to Iraq in 2005. After an honorable stint and an invaluable experience in the Corps, Sergeant Leung pursued higher education and received his B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
