My friend, in the middle of a MN winter said, "Come on I want to find out about this 3-Day for the Cure." I said, "You've got to be kidding!" Well, out we went, in 12º weather, to an informational meeting. And out of the meeting we came, signed up to walk 60 miles in 3 days. Now I am 60+ years old! A mile for every year I've been alive...but Yes I am alive! My friend Von isn't, and Louise is a fighter-oh how thin she has gotten, but Joan is a survivor, and it goes on and on; I can certainly walk for them. And how about the woman, one of which dies every 69 seconds, from breast cancer; I can certainly walk for her.
Now why the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure, well, they are the leaders in research globally, local education, and in providing mamograms. Those are good reasons for me. And they have ask me to raise $2,300 for them; that's another good reason. I'll walk and I'll raise it with help from supporters like you because we all know two too many that have been affected by this terrible cancer. Please go to my site by following the link below ( you may need to paste it) and add to all of the donations for this cause and help me keep putting one foot in front of the other as I train 585 miles for the 60 mile 3 day walk. And if you can't at least pass the word along and let me know, too, about your experiences. Also I am making a ribbon with all of the names of people that have been affected by breast cancer, so if you have someone you want remembered let me know and I will put them on my ribbon. Thank you from someone from 12º above zero.
