I suddenly find myself in a position quite different for me...that of a children's book author. With the release on Jan. 31 of Mine!, a picture book, I'm excited, proud, and yes - a little at sea.As an inspirational romance novelist, writing for children is a different thing entirely. I have four adult children, and when they were little, I came up with stories quite often - just for their entertainment. I also have four grandchildren, and I've done the same for them. But having a picture book in print and being expected to market it...well, now that's something new!The channels I've used to spread the word about my romance novels obviously aren't going to work for children's books, so I find myself floundering about in a whole new pool of marketing possibilities, new networking contacts, learning a whole different side of the publishing industry - while continuing, of course, to keep the currents moving with my newest romance release (Destiny's Dream, Dec. 15, 2010).It's fun. It's exciting. It's confusing. It's challenging. It's exhausting. And I've barely started. What was I thinking?
