Delia Cabe's Biography

You can read my Creative Type blog, which covers writing and publishing, on the Boston Globe's website. In addition to writing about my boarding school days in the Sixties on my blog Girls Sent Away, I enjoy writing other personal essays, which I post here. I'm a freelance magazine writer whose work has appeared in Self, Prevention, Health, Boston Globe Magazine, Boston, Scientific American Presents, Fayetteville (NC) Times, Fayetteville (NC) Observer and other publications. My story "Going Through the Motions" was included in the book Scientific American: Building the Elite Athlete (Lyons Press: 2007). I teach writing at Emerson College.
