Deborah Rodney's Biography
Member Info
A writer of produced plays; children's musical plays on social and environmental issues which reached 100,000 school children in Oregon annually for almost ten years; 4 commissioned children's books; televisions programs and documentaries in the Caribbean (Antigua, Guyana and St. Vincent); a collection of esays, poetry and short stories soon to be published and a novel in a ten-year process---I show up at the computer, pay attention, open to greater possibilities which help to inspire positive change and see what happens. It's always exciting and life-affirming.
I've been a professional juggler, founder of three theater companies, lived in a remote South American jungle, worked as a communications specialist on HIV/AIDS and television writer in the Caribbean and more. It's all been fuel for the creative muse. I'm 'home' now as a writer. On the physical plane I live in Portland, Oregon when it's sunny and Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines when it isn't.
