So. A few years ago, my husband and I started the Kinkaid Foundation, a registered nonprofit dedicated to providing day to day living expenses for people recovering from surgery, or living with chronic illness. Not medical expenses - we're talking about things like groceries, gas for the car, things like that. Or maybe emergency vet visits when you're living on $840 a month and your beloved dog or cat gets sick and the vet bill is more than your monthly income. Or you're on your way home after a chemotherapy treatment and your car blows a tire on the freeway and needs replacing.
So, on Friday, 20 May 2011, the Foundation is hosting a fundraising concert at the Glaser Center in downtown Santa Rosa. And RIchard Thompson is headlining it.
Four acts, with the man Rolling Stone calls one of the top twenty guitar players of the century (and Eric Clapton agrees with them). Tickets are $40 each. It's going to be a hell of a show, so get a ticket and come on out.
