I was born in a steel town with air so toxic it killed more than a dozen people one Halloween night.
At 19, I joined the Army where I learned how to light cigars in the rain and fish with hand grenades.
I've worked as a spiker on the railroad, a short order cook, a carpenter, newspaper editor, blues musician and ad man.
I'm working on a happy ending.
