I am proud to announce that today, June 10, 2008 the first printing of the paperback edition of my book, Mediterranean Summer, is officially on sale.
The story takes place on board an Italian classic sailing yacht I worked on when I lived abroad. It was my first chef’s job. Throughout the pages, there are glorious backdrops, colorful characters, the work hard/play hard life of being a crew member, and a food voice that presents local and regional cooking along the Mediterranean shores.
Upon release of the hard cover this time last year, the New York Times put it fourth on their summer “hot list” citing the tome “a 327-page book-sized vacation… an escapist story that comes with recipes and practically generates in own sea breeze.”
To see more, check out the Mediterranean Summer web site and a blog is coming soon.
The book is available in the US just about everywhere, and on-line throughout the world on Amazon and other retailers that carry the US edition. An e-book version is available as well.
You’ll find it a great read and I look forward to seeing your comments.
Buon Viaggio!
