Over at my main blog I wrote a new piece today about man's inhumanity to man. I've been in a kind of introspective mood because of the book I'm writing, the story of a man who survived the Holocaust as a teenager. He made it through four Nazi camps in Germany and Poland, then back across Europe, despite the British freeze on travel, and on a boat bound for Palestine. The British also prevented that - it's a heartbreaking story. But it did not break his heart. He is a loving, caring man. He is not bitter, he is funny, and though you hear the pain and emotion buried in his words - you know he is a man who loves people, and life. He saw the end of a monster, and the birth of a new Nation...and I now call him friend. Anyway...the entire piece - and how it relates to the audio book I'm listening to, which is sort stories by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. about war and his own experiences in WWII - hop on over to my online journal and check it out.
