Influences
I always read a lot as a kid, everything from the classics to pulp and science fiction. When I was 15 I picked up a dog-eared copy of Mickey Spillane's "I, the Jury" that hooked me on crime fiction. From Spillane I quickly exhausted the works of Hammett, Stout, Chandler, Ross Macdonald, and many other crime fiction writers, including Dan Marlowe, Jim Thompson and Charles Willeford.
