Dave Rosenthal's Biography

As books coverage shrank in the Baltimore Sun, where I am an assistant managing editor and Sunday editor, I wanted an alternative for news about authors, book clubs and events in the area. So I started the Read Street blog. www.baltimoresun.com/readstreet 

I read a wide range of books (but never as many as I'd like), usually alternating between non-fiction and fiction. Some all-time favorites: A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole; Dune by Frank Herbert; and anything by Calvin Trillin or John McPhee. I belong to a book club with a Jewish theme.
