Now for whatever damage the storm did, it really wasn't as bad as the doomsayers on TV made it out to be. Here on the coast of Virginia, I listened as newscasters declared states of emergency, and 'storm of the century' and 'worst storm ever' being bandied about.

So, last Monday (the 19th) I turned 30 years old.
