If that's your real name.
We live our lives questioning if what we think and believe is the road we are destined to take is the road we're meant to travel. From the day we are born we are surrounded by people... and their understandings of life which quickly become our own understandings... at least until we're capable of individual thought. So... once we discover individual thought, at what point do we regroup and form our own opinions? In my experiences, sometimes right away and sometimes never. In search for further insight, does anyone out there believe that we choose to be born into certain circumstances to come to specific conclusions upon life on our own or is it all just a random get-together? Personally, I don't think I'd be here writing this had I been born in any other circumstance. Can you, as authors, claim that you would have been writers and have had the ability to portray your thoughts had you been born in a random third world country? Or any other upbringing for that matter? It has been said many times many ways that we are put here to do something, but that something is shaking hands with the secret of life. I think that too many writers feel that they are meant to be writers and lose the ability to improve the lives of others... the one and only reason writers should exist in the first place. Writers do not exist to pad their own egos, they exist to create a world that creates a better world. Silly writers, get back to the fundamentals and make this world a better place! As an unpublished writer and a much loved storyteller, I say that the best stories are created from the desire to improve others, not from the desire to improve the source... as the source improves with its own realization.
