Asking for help

Okay, I'm at a loss. I've been actively blogging for a few months now. Have over 2,000 page views with 75% of them views of my blog posts. For that, I have one two-word comment.
At this point I'm thinking that I might not be doing something right.
I am under the impression that blogs are interactive. The people leave comments and writers respond to them--sometimes. I know that I do.
I'm at a loss for what I'm "doing wrong" and I'm wondering if anyone else is suffering this phenomena or is it just me?
