Light houses are both romantic and Romantic and are included as settings in many novels and other works of art. They also are appealing in Reality and have become an icon of the sea and adventure. Indeed, in one of my own novels a light house has a stirring setting. I also enjoy visiting light houses in real life, as my Red Room author photo will testify. I was still surprised by the number of light houses in this Guardian gallery which are found in novels.
