Paris Review Launches Daily BlogBy Mark Byrne on Jun 01, 2010 01:20 PM

192_192.jpgLorin Stein made his first big move as the new editor of The Paris Review today by launching a daily blog for the venerable quarterly.

Stein explains the reasoning in the blog's kick-off post: "We have been looking for a way to keep in touch with our readers between issues, and to call attention to our favorite writers and artists in something close to real time. If the Review embodies a sensibility, this Daily will try, in a casual and haphazard and at times possibly frivolous way, to put that sensibility into words."

Stein, a former senior editor at Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, is making good on one of the comments he made when his new job was first announced-- that he wanted to "engage better with the web." As book bloggers and avid book blog readers, we obviously think this is a great idea. We're looking forward to seeing what the Review can do with the new medium.
