It’s been a few months since I added a blog entry but here goes: Right now I’m in a transitional period. My proposal for Hitters: The Inside World of Hip-Hop’s Secret Service Men is polished and ready to shop to publishers, but due to a recent setback at my literary agency, the process has been delayed. So I’m trying to decide what I’m going to do. This is a pivotal weekend for me. Changing subjects, I exchanged email with Sam Dorrance, an executive at Potomac Book, the publishing home of my debut non-fiction book, Bash Brothers: A Legacy Subpoenaed. He told me that I should be getting a sales report and royalty statement in the mail this month. Learning how many of my books have sold and what portion of the profits I’ll be receiving is every author’s dream. Probably wont get much, but it was a great journey.
