Practical Jokes in the Barracks:
The entire time I was in the service there were always practical jokes being played in the barracks.
Things like, when a newbie would come in late at night, drunk and would pass out on his bunk. Five or six troopers would get together and lift the target's bunk high enough to slip a footlocker under each end. Then a couple of the guys would stand on the footlockers and lift again, slipping another level of footlockers under the bunk. This was repeated until there were three or four footlockers stacked under each end of the bunk. When reveille played in the morning, the newbie got a big surprise when he swung his feet over the side of the bunk and stood up.
Man that first step's a bitch.
