As the world population approaches 7 billion this year voluntary access to contraception and reproductive health services should not be withheld from women who want and need them. Heather Brittany discusses the importance of Congress’s need to focus on developing a responsible spending plan for the country, not enacting an extreme social agenda that harms the poorest women and their children around the world.
A child's growing awareness of the mortality of people and pets prompts a natural curiosity about what happens after death in the picture book MOONLIGHT MEMOIRS, young author Maggie Mei Lewis shares a comforting view of an afterlife where the living are loved and watched over by the people and animals who have left life before them.
What is a potager? Americans are used to planting vegetable gardens, the English plant kitchen gardens, and the French have potagers. Since the Middle Ages, the French have been combining anything they want for decor or culinary delights in one garden plot. The Goddess Gardener, Cynthia Brian, takes you to the Renaissance Chateau of Villandry in France for a whirlwind potager planting.

I love birth control
I love Planned Parenthood. I had this weird thought though, that if we are getting socialized medicine in 2014 basically planned parenthood would be obsolete as women could go anywhere and have health insurance? so although I would prefer that taxes be increased by a few percent of the most wealthy rather than cuts to the poor, I think overall they might have needed to cut planned parenthood funding anyway when everyone gets insurance? I dunno it was just a thought.
That 7 billion amount is terribly daunting and some countries like India are already at 1 billion and have virtually zero family planning in place. They use a lot of cooking fires and that is a lot of global warming also. Some countries like Egypt are likely to double in size in the next 50 years. It is really scary. I sometimes imagine myself just sending every woman in the world a years supply of free birth control and they can either sell it or use it. give it out for free across the world; that and condoms to the men, kinda icky and of course nobody would ever really do that. like the johnny appleseed of birth control.
