Cynthia Brian has been coaching young people for over twenty years and is the Founder and Executive Director of Be the Star You Are!® charity which works to empower women, families, and youth. (http://www.bethestaryouare.org) With several of the teen volunteers, she launched a web site called Express Yourself!™ (http://www.BTSYA.com) specifically to promote and publish the creative works of young people. When Perry Damone, Director of Voice America Kids visited this new website, he was inspired to ask Cynthia if she would be willing to create a radio show of the same name utilizing the talents of adolescents. As the editor of TEEN SCENE for newspapers, she had been working perfecting the writing of teens and jumped at the opportunity to give youth a bigger voice around the globe. It took a couple of months of preparation, pre-production, and coaching. Today Express Yourself!™ TEEN radio is a reality.
