In case there are any bibliophiles out there looking for some good summer reading, the latest post on my blog features a roster of my favorite fiction and non-fiction books.
Pop by and have a look.
I included the list because the post deals with some of the books and authors that have been most influential in my life. Writing that piece brought back a lot of fond memories. Regretfully, I couldn't find a Google image for the original cover of Ray Bradbury's Golden Apples of the Sun. That splash of bright red that originally attracted me to the book in the Milden elementary school library all those years ago.
My tastes have become more discerning and my reading more critical but I'm still filled with a pure, almost child-like glee when I come across an author whose work speaks to me on an intimate level, whose perspective and approach to their art is fresh and bold and smart.
Have a great summer, folks, and good reading!
