I spent all morning messing around with the formatting for the first 20 pages of my novel of the Old West, The Last Hunt. I thought it would be a simple thing to carve out a section, slap it into a Word document, save it as a PDF...
Unfortunately, I'm useless with computers and ended up wasting a lot of time, indenting each paragraph by hand, etc. I know there must be all sorts of shortcuts for doing this stuff but I don't know any of them.
Nonetheless and all that nastiness set aside...you can now pop over to my main blog and read a sizable chunk of my new novel or check out my Scribd page (where you'll find other examples from my work).
Your comments and thoughts are always welcome.
Some of you have expressed surprise that I've written a western. Not exactly a popular field these days. But is the genre truly dead or are there signs of a renaissance? What think you?
