Well, it was inevitable.
I don't have many heroes but Ray Harryhausen was definitely one of them. I grew up on his films and never got over the impact they had on my young, impressionable mind.
I was saddened but unsurprised to learn of his passing--my first thought was that he and his old pal Ray Bradbury had a lot to catch up on. Imagine the conversations they're having (with Poe brooding in the background, waiting to add an acerbic word or two)...
