Hard to believe but it's true. Forty years since Neil and Buzz tromped around up there on ol' Luna, while Mike Collins circled overhead, their ticket home and the only ride going their way for a quarter of a million miles.
The moon has been much on my mind this year--and through my reminiscences of the long hours I spent with the astronauts on that dirty, grey ball, I've also revisited a childhood I thought I'd left far behind.
A one-hour long radio play wasn't enough--Sherron and I wanted to try out some of the bells and whistles on this iMac and, in so doing, we put together a short tribute to the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11. We'll be adding it to my blog in mid-July. You'll find out all you need to know here.
And, hey, when the 20th rolls around, pop outside and raise a glass to the moon.
Wasn't so long ago we were there. Won't be too long now and we'll be going back...
