Employee loyalty specialist, Cindy Ventrice is a management consultant, professional speaker, and workshop leader with over 20 years of experience. She is the author of the best-seller Make Their Day! Employee Recognition That Works, the companion guide Recognition Strategies That Work, and contributed to four additional books. She has been quoted extensively, including in The New York Times, Alaska Airlines Magazine, Workforce Magazine, on CNBC, and in the book The Likeability Factor.
Cindy started as a computer systems consultant, helping hundreds of organizations computerize their accounting and operational systems, acting as advisor, project manager, technical resource, and trainer. She had the opportunity to work on many diverse projects including: developing bakery production and real estate management systems, and setting up job-costing, inventory tracking, payroll processing, and point of sale systems. She worked in a wide range of industries including: technology, nonprofit, government, health care, manufacturing, service, and education, developing a comprehensive understanding of business operations.
With each project, Cindy had a chance to observe and learn, firsthand, how culture, priorities, and manager behavior affected employee loyalty and motivation. Eventually, she moved her practice from technology-based solutions to people-based solutions solidly grounded in basic business operations.
She is a past President of the American Society for Training and Development, Silicon Valley Chapter and as chapter and a current board member of National Speakers Association Northern California.
