Publication Party for the novel LOVE AT ABSOLUTE ZERO in Pasadena
29 Sep 2011 7:00 pm

White Whisker Books presents the publication party for Christopher Meeks' new comic novel, Love At Absolute Zero. The story focuses on physicist Gunnar Gunderson, 32, who, after getting a promotion, can think of only one thing: finding a wife. He tries to use the tools of science to land his soul mate in three days. This is Meeks's second novel, coming after his award-winning The Brightest Moon of the Century.

The publication party starts at 7 p.m. and includes food, wine, and other beverages. Mr. Meeks will be introduced by Amazon Top Ten Reviewer Grady Harp, who has reviewed all of Meeks' five books. Harp writes, "Meeks appears to have gleaned the technical virtuosity of creating characters in a minimum of space and then unfold those characters in response to the movement of the landscape of a large novel with such aplomb that he is likely to continue on his climb to one of America's more important writers this decade."

Mr. Meeks will read briefly from his book, take questions, sign books, then join the party. The event is free and open to the public. Vroman's is at 695 El Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, next to the Laemmle Playhouse Theatre. Phone: (626) 449-5320
