Greetings, I'm an award-winning journalist based in San Francisco, and author of Diet for a Dead Planet: Big Business and the Coming Food Crisis.  My investigative book, now out in paperback from the New Press, examines the American food business and its impacts on health, the environment, workers and farmers - and the future of food. I also write for the Los Angeles Times, Harper's, The Christian Science Monitor, The Economist, Mother Jones, and elsewhere, and teach journalism at San Francisco State University.
