Chris Tarry is a Canadian fiction writer and musician. His work has appeared in The Literary Review, The G.W. Review, PANK, The Drunken Boat, Opium Magazine, Monkeybicycle, and elsewhere. In 2011 he was shortlisted for Ireland’s Fish Short Story Prize, and was a finalist in Freefall Magazine’s annual prose and poetry competition. Chris is also a three-time Juno Award winner, and one of Canada’s most distinguished jazz bassists. Before his recent move to New York City, Chris lived for fifteen years in Vancouver where he is also currently an MFA candidate in UBC’s Optional Residency Creative Writing program. His most recent book Rest of the Story, is a collection of short fiction and a jazz album rolled into one.
