Frost and Stevens had a famous argument in Key West in 1940. They were drunk and making fun of each other's writing. Stevens told Frost, "The trouble with you, Robert, is that you write about--subjects." Frost responded, "The trouble with you, Wallace, is that you write about bric-a-brac."
