Charles Salzberg is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Esquire, GQ, New York magazine, Elle, the New York Times Arts and Leisure, the New York Times Book Review, Redbook, Ladies Home Journal, Good Housekeeping, Travel and Leisure and other periodicals.  He's also the author of more than 20 non-fiction books, including From Set Shot to Slam Dunk, an Oral History of the NBA.  His quirky, literary detective novel, Swann's Last Song, was nominated for A Sharus Award for Best First PI Novel, and the sequel, Swann Dives In, is now available. 

He has taught non-fiction writing at the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University, Sarah Lawrence, and Hunter College Writing Program, and now teaches writing at the Writer's Voice, the Open Center and the New York Writers Workshop, where he is a Founding Member.
