Amazon Review Police Strike Down My Review

The Amazon Review Police strike down my review.

My friend Tom Ong received the note below from Amazon after I published, may I say, an exuberant review of his newest thriller. I purchased the book from Amazon, read it, and expressed my true feelings. Can Amazon decide what is an unworthy review? Hopefully they will also delete all unfavorable reviews, especially of my works. What do you think?

“During a review of our catalog, we found a customer review on the below book that does not meet our review guidelines:

Review titled: "She's at it again" on the book 'The Deadly Buddha’

Customer reviews are meant to give customers genuine feedback from fellowshoppers. While we encourage reviewers to share their enthusiasm and experience, there can be a fine line between that and the use of customer reviews as a promotional tool. Because our goal is to avoid reviews that are meant to advertise, promote, or mislead, any reviews posted to your book that violate this guideline have been removed.”
