French-born poet and budding playwright Cendrine Marrouat has hit the spoken word/poetry world with "Rizen", her remarkable debut CD.

Ms Marrouat started writing poetry in 2005, a couple of years after moving to Canada. Her four collections of poems ("And They All Rejoiced! Soul-Stirring Poetry", "Short Poetry for Those Who Fear Death", "Sortons des chemins battus. Poésie de l'âme", and "Project: Heartbeats and Elevation"), published in 2006 and 2009, and her bilingual poems available on her blog, have amazed and comforted a lot of readers in need of spiritual guidance.

Through her writing career, Cendrine has come in contact with the best spoken word artists in North America. Their work encouraged her to make her own CD. In April 2009, she decided to perform and record sixteen of her best poems and then mix them with music from three amazing composers (Kevin MacLeod, Loren DiGiorgi, and William Cushman) and sound effects.
