When we first moved here                  I thought

the walls would crumble like coffee cake

And the witch would come                eat us

I thought about putting someone’s head in the oven

but I couldn’t decide a thing

 

And if you think I can survive

on Jamba Juice and cigarettes

and poetry books from small independent presses

well, maybe
