This book was my first attempt to use my own personal stories as a way of describing universal truths. In my work as a healer I evoke the subtle energies of a person's body, where only an intuitive perceiving of the whole person can help to reveal where the congestion lies in their body. After trying to write a scholarly book about this, I realized the only way to get to it was through story where the truth lies hidden in the weave of images and emotions and events. This book was the one that set the style of writing for all my work since then.
