I'd like to share with you a wondrous gift in my life - the music of Dimitris Zaimakis, a self-taught pianist and composer from Crete who is living at the moment in North Carolina with his wife and children.
I am awed by the music of this man, and the heart and spirit that comes through it, and would like to share it with my friends. Here are 2 links of excerpts from recent concerts: a piano improvisation played in Berkeley just last week, and the final movement of an oratorio, GAIA, performed last summer in Crete. (The girls' choir are all his old students from when he taught elementary school!)
