The Kite Runner I listened to the Kite Runner audiobook several years ago. For good or bad, it shaped my understanding of Afghanistan. It also haunts me. Not because of what is unique about the book but for what is universal.
Kite Runner is a book about family. Individual self sacrifice that binds a family together contrasted with the self-centered emptiness that tears families apart. The book will always be in the back of my mind until I resolve these issues in myown life.
