John Moore worked for years for Starbucks and wrote a great book on how the company operates. (Availabe on amazon and other places, TRIBAL KNOWLEDGE: Business Wisdom Brewed from the Grounds of Starbucks Corporate Culture .) As I did the research and writing for my book, he helped out with questions, sat down for a long interview (and drove me around Austin), and corrected a few of my mistakes and misconceptions.
