We have to be real about the pictures that we paint with words. We use words to convey images that toy with the imagination and the senses. We become more like Monet or Degas as we script stories, poems and songs that paint portraits of words.
Stand before a blank canvas with with your color palette and brushes jutting from between your fingers. See the picturesque landscape or stare back at your reflection in a mirror or glass window as you paint your self portrait like Van Gogh.
It could be worse than that. You could do like Hitchcock, Stan Lee or Stephen King. You could just write yourself into a cameo appearance in some obscure role in the midst of the action and adventure.
Paint a real picture with your words.
Offered in peace and solidarity to the visual artists who paint, sculpt and shape art in their own way.
