I dare anyone who knows something about mysteries and Westerns to compare or contrast the two.  Recently, I did some articles on Chester Himes' hard-boiled crime fiction and some Western classics.  Both genres have some surprising similarities.  It is no wonder that the likes of Robert B. Parker and Elmore Leonard were able to dabble in both with success.  Look into it and compare or contrast the two genres.
