The Significance of Reconciliation
Hello there my spiritual friend,
I would like to take this opportunity to discuss with you this rather, most important of subjects, that of reconciliation. You see, so often many have been either on the presenting side or on the receipt of this essential exchange.
Reconciliation, requires, oh so much more than a mere verbal response, or even acknowledgement. In fact, it requires an acute awareness of the error, the impact, ramifications and dilemmas associated with our words and actions.
Understandably, there are some readers quickly in disagreement with me…I do acknowledge you and ask that you forgive me of my ignorance. I merely intend to point out the larger perspective regarding the matter.
Redemption may take place at the end of reconciliation, this is because, redemptions tasks the perp, to seek reconciliation, make restitution, provided it be possible, and dismiss the errant activity. In this manner, all parties can have peace within themselves and with each other.
It may very well be that one must acknowledge the errors, seek forgiveness and ask for help in restoring normalcy. This may task the offended to dig deep within themselves and latch onto the God given grace to accept their apology.
Oh my dear friend, this is the time of year that we celebrate when Christ had come to reconcile us back to the Father, the parable are ripe with nutritional value, and His remark… “A friend lays down his life for another…and you are My friends.”
I am unable to grasp the gravity of such a statement, for I, perhaps like some of you, have not entirely laid down my life…but have merely set it aside for a time or two.
Forgive me, oh Lord!
Bro. Smith SGS
