where the writers are
Red Room on the Radio

On the Radioooo.  I saw Red Room on the Radio yesterday.  Yes I do mean saw, my senses are not that confused I saw Ivory and several of the Red Room Authors do a panel discussion at the Commonwealth Club yesterday that was broadcast in technisound(TM) to many a Bay Area listener via KQED.  I thought I would share this event with those Red Roomers who could not attend. There was Wine and Cheese.  I had Water and Cheese which was less glamorous but still quite nice. There were hippie, yuppies, intellectuals, capitalists and a menagerie of the various bay area denizens. The Cheese was good as I mentioned but much discussion was had on if Cheddarella was a large mutated mouse set on destruction of Moustopia or a mixture of Cheddar and Mozzarella. The program began was a gavel fall and the announcer announced Ivory Madison, Peter Wolf(Coyote sorry but I like my Russian Fairy Tales) Ishmael Reed, Belle Yang, and Bill Hayes. Each author shared there personal reasons for being on Red Room.  Belle Shared some of Bill’s touching essay on Loss.Questions were asked from the audience some good some not much. The “Liberal Media” was put to task for trying to uncover civil liberty abuses when they should have saved people from collapsed mines in Utah.Someone asked the panel for a job and Asked Peter Wolf for some one on one time. All this I saw with Red Room on the Radio, on the Radioooo.

Goof!

Brian, I just now noticed that you blogged about the event. Of course you did it in your own inimitable way! The cheese was not a plot, even if it confounded your expectations! I'm glad you came and had a good time.

Hugs, Hunti.

(Only Brian can call me "Hunti.")
